Dr. Vikesh Sharma is an economist, researcher, and educator currently serving as an Assistant Professor at RV University, India. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar. His doctoral research, titled βEnergy Choice, Livelihoods, and Conservation Nexus: A Case Study of Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary in Bihar, India”, examined the interconnections between household energy transitions, rural livelihoods, and biodiversity conservation in ecologically sensitive regions.
His research lies at the intersection of development, sustainability, energy transitions, and environmental governance. Drawing upon economic analysis and interdisciplinary perspectives, his work explores how policies, institutions, and socio-economic factors shape sustainable development outcomes, particularly in developing economies.

His research has been published in internationally reputed journals, including Energy Research & Social Science, Energy Nexus, and Environmental Challenges. He has presented his work at several national and international conferences and serves as a reviewer for journals such as Scientific Reports and Energy Efficiency.
